It is our primary vision to establish the Vienna Eagles both in Austrian Rugby (Rugby Austria) and international tournaments (International Gay Rugby League).
In addition to that, we want to make Rugby accessible to the broader public and promote the idea that this sport has long overcome the limitations of the traditional stereotypes associated with it. As an inclusive team, we want to be pioneers and hope to find like-minded teams in other sports that will join our fight against prejudice, stale stereotypes and toxic environments within and outside the sporting community.
Further, we would be very happy to establish a children’s team to provide a safe space for anyone willing to get familiar with our sport.
Anyone is welcome – from active players to supporters. Anyone can become an EAGLE.
